Sound doesn't travel in a vaccuum and last I checked the moon doesn't have an atmosphere so this is all sort of a moot point.

The moon actually does have an atmosphere. It's just extremely thin.

I'm not really cool enough to do musical top-ten lists but I'd have to take Sigur Ros' Takk, and then I probably echo some of the suggestions for classical music.

There were a ton of chess 45's i think that were put onto the voyager satellite. I believe these are now part of the chess records box set. so that is number 1

I'd take pet sounds next.

The beatles pose a challenge as to which album, so if box sets count as one i'd take the recent capitol box set of beatles albums w/me.

I'd find some good classical guitar to toss in the mix.

I am not a dancer, but if i was on the moon i'd be alone and would need to dance on the moon atleast once so something with a good heavy beat like the early who or stones stuff.

I dig early country, so probably any sort of grand ole opry boxed set I could come across would fit the bill.

something avant garde not sure what though

thriller

the white stripes' get behind me satan

hymns

No human being has ever set foot on the moon. It was all a hoax.
