this film looks quirky, and not apologetically asian like other films i've seen trying to delve into the hodgepodge culture that is asian america. the main protagonist is fobby but not stereotypically so, and in a way plays to a notion that growing up in a filipino family i have observed a lot -- men who desire women who treat them like a mother would, cleaning up after them, etc. i'm sure i could go on about this but seeing as to there's plenty of other people on SF with similar experiences i'd defer to you guys.
