I've recently done everything from a roast Carrot+Yam+Chestnut soup to a Herb+Tomato and I always add 1-2 heads of roast garlic - makes a huge difference

Ha! that's pretty funny

Check out the menu at "Garlics" - including Garlic Ice-Cream, which btw is probably the best and only really great thing on the menu. Before you start thinking peppery raw garlic, it's actually the nutty roasted style of garlic with some sweet candied chips thrown in.

Garlic is probably my favorite food item ever. My mom would always add TONS of garlic to nearly every dish she made. Copious amounts of sauteed garlic, peppers, onions, and sausage on a "French bread pizza" is one of my favorite meals when home.

Smells bad but really good for your body. Go figure. Nothing is better than just roasting in the oven for 1 hour with olive oil and spreading it on bread. Amazing!

i wish the smell of garlic on the body/breath was more accepted by american society. i would eat garlic everyday then.

Before going out to a few strip clubs for a friend's bachelor party in SF's North Beach, we made sure to have ourselves a large, garlic filled meal at The Stinking Rose... ate a few cloves of nearly raw garlic. Ahhh, those strippers earned their lap dance money that night.

Chicken with 40 Cloves of Garlic is a Winter staple in our house, but we use huge amounts of garlic in almost all of our entrees.

Saute seasoned (salt, pepper) chicken in olive oil until well browned, reduce heat and add 40 or so large cloves of garlic, shake pan periodically until garlic is browned, deglaze pan with 1/2 cup wine then add 1/2 cup chicken stock. Scrap up any fond sticking to the pan, cover and cook until chicken is done. Adjust seasoning. Serve with mashed or sauteed potatoes.

Fixed because this is better.

^^ good shit We made something similar in our family.. Brown the chicken in the pan first, then add garlic and potatoes and bake for a while. The smell and the way the chicken fat penetrates potatoes and all of that mixes with garlic is intoxicating.
