Thanks guys...this is very encouraging. I've emailed Mr. Kuti about this...let's see...

It has come to my attention though, that they do make a lot of mistakes. I mean I'm glad if they're handled well (let's see mr. Kuti's response later) but one could wonder how much unnecessary losses the business has made from these mistakes

Is there by chance a language problem? It would make sense why things might be incorrectly interpreted...

I think it still says something about Vass that they could screw up, have you ship the shoes back, make you a new pair and you would still get them weeks before any of the other popular makers could deliver a MTO

I was at the new store and the sales lady spoke near perfect English. For example I asked her if Vass makes Chelsea boots and she didn't have to think before answering no.

They deal with lots of emails and online orders daily so I'm not surprised that they make mistakes like humans do.

Hmmm - I'm hearing a lot more of these messed up order stories than I would like. Sure, mistakes can happen - and I'm sure this remains a significant exception to the rule - but it sure sounds to me like an area where they could stand to improve. Ensuring a reasonably speedy replacement is good, but getting it right the first time is better.

It certainly must be costing them to do all these replacement orders.

Vass do not make mistakes, they just disagree with what you order and make it right.

Out of all the "mistakes" they made with my orders, 90% were much better than I originally ordered.. I swear I'm dead serious.

Yeah, but the dude's shoes were on a different last than what he ordered. if I order F-last from Vass I sure don't want them deciding the shoes would really look better on P2.

And if Vass thought his welt and heel colours were wack, then they shouldn't have accepted the order. I have no problem with a manufacturer saying, essentially, 'we won't put our name on your screwball idea for a makeup'. But saying they will - and taking your money on that basis - only to turn around and give you their concept of an improvement on your order is not kosher. At least, not without contacting you first to okay the changes.

I'm half joking RogerP, but remember this is Hungary, not England, and they will do what they want believe me. More details = more "mistakes"

,^^^ I dunno, do you find the prospect of receiving something other than what you ordered attractive?

This isn't a huge negative - they seem to fix such problems quickly. And the shoes are an awesome kickass value. But I struggle to view messed up orders as a charming positive.
