Epaulet has 3636, F and P2 lasted shoes. Maybe U, too, I can't remember.

I'm anxiously awaiting the P2 cognac pebble shoes to go on sale. One can hope.

It's only slightly less than $620 AUD for a pair of standard MTO shipped to Australia direct, standard calf colours, any existing design on any last.

Which would mean less than 600 USD

Want to ask a question due to no experience with Vass before.

Which size shall I order in their lasts if I wear UK9F in G&G, 9.5D or 9E in Alden Barrie Last, and 8.5F in George Cleverley?

Thanks a lot!

42.5, wide fitting, F last. Don't other with U or K; they won't fit you at all even if you get extra width and size up.

Would this be your advice for anyone with even a remotely wide foot?

If that is the case, I will have to let my U last dreams go...

Jubei what's remotely wide for you? Someone who takes an E width in Alden Barrie has more than a remotely wide foot by my reckoning - that's pretty darned wide. I wear a 9.5D in Alden Barrie and a 43 in Vass U quite comfortably.

I wear a 10.5 G width (extra wide) in GG TG73. My guess would have been to size 44 H (extra wide for VASS). If the U last is indeed more narrow than the TG73 last, then I will have to rethink the U last...

I'd say the U last is more accomodating in width than the TG73. I have to take a wide fitting (though not extra wide - one up in width from standard) in the TG73 last or else go up a half size - but wear a standard width Vass U.

I suspect a wide fitting in Vass U would work for you. The main difference in fit between U and F is the toe box, in any event.

F last.

I'll try and post a photo comparing the F last with a carmina rain shoe later today. I was polishing last night and noticed the significant difference in the shape of the shoe. Not the chiseled toe of rain. The overall banana shape. The Carmina's bend from mid-foot to the toe is more harsh (wrong word? pronounced maybe?) than Vass, EG, G&G or AS.

like Roger said, I think a U last in wide fitting would work unless the wide part of your foot is at the toes (which is unlikely if the TG73 works for you).

Correct. Carmina Rain last has a chiseled toe, Vass F last has a round toe (albeit a sleeker round toe by far than, say, anything from Alden).

Here is a pic of three Vass shoes - posted many times before, so apologies if I have induced any groaning. All the same size (43) but three different lasts. Left to right, K (very chiseled) F (round toe) and U (chiseled).

Thanks Roger and beautiful shoes no matter how many times they've been posted. Yep, the toes are completely different. What intrigued me last night though was the difference in the overall banana shape between the two. F has more of a gentle ( shape. While rain is a bit more < shape. The carmina looks like it angles inward more sharply than the more graceful curve of F.

RogP, thats a great pic and very informative.

If I were deciding which I'd be taking for a walk tomorrow I may plump for the DMs with a grey flannel. Then again...

I am measured 9.5G by Tony. I am 9EE JL, 8.5 wide SC with extra width. And 43 wide in F last.

I have a pair of 43.5 wide in U last. Loafer. Width at ball is fine. Length too long. But the toe box is crushing my toes. Had to stretch it at the toe box and it's still tight.

U last toe box tapering is ridiculous for wide feet.
