A sizing question -- I've read multiple accounts here of 42 F-last = 9 US and got a pair of used F-last single-sole oxfords. I've worn them a few times and it has caused a lot of pain in my heels. Would wearing them more & breaking them in help at all? Or should I size up to 42.5 in the F-last?

For comparison, I wear a 8UK in the JL 7000, 9D US in most American shoes. I do have a high instep, which is what prompted me to consider the F-last above others.

What part of your heel? Bottom, sides, back? Is it because the heel is too narrow and is squeezing you? Is there rubbing?

MTO directly through Vass. Transacted with the manager, Mr. Kuti
Specs that Vass changed:
I requested light brown edge trim instead received dark brown, looks black
I requested cognac shell instead received "whiskey"
I requested double sole instead received HAF sole
I think I prefer the screw ups over my specs. Couldn't be happier. It was such an odd process though since I didny realize I placed an order until after the shoes were made. It's typical for shoe companies to request 1/2 or even all of the MTO fee in the beginning but that wasn't the case. Didn't pay until 6 days ago.
Shell MTO
Metal Toe taps
Lasted trees
Shipping
Wire transfer fee
No duties

How much would that have been to have proxied?

How much would that be if picked up in Budapest? The answer is USD600.00
VASS is seriously cheap when paid cash. They need to raise prices 50% to get rid of all the riff raff like myself.

You would expect to be near $1,000 with proxies for just plain old calf.

Wait, I thought we went over this all a few weeks ago? Basically how for Kolecho's most recent round it was $650 for calf due to the Euro. They are normally $700. That includes worldwide shipping.

I have a pair of those, also bought from Sartoriale. If you need MTO proxied, I recommend kolecho, he's destroyed my wallet many times.

prices have dropped since I've been to buda... my Vass cordovan was more than that and paid in cash.
