Can anyone with the same size in both U and F lasts comment whether they are of the same outsole length and width?

Pretty sure second from left is Bordeaux, which is different. Does any one have a picture of a Vass shoe in Dark Red Cognac? Thanks a lot!

This pair from Ascot is described as red cognac (and is a freakin' gorgeous shade, IMO).  I'm not sure if there is a dark red cognac  that is different.

And here is Bordeaux - also from Ascot - for comparison:

Just saw this pair in olive green suede which was done for a retailer a year or so ago:

These would be awesome in a boot version.

Thanks a lot! It's gorgeous, indeed! And it seems to be the closest match! No, there's just one (dark) red cognac, according to my retailer.

About to take a plunge on Vass again. as a US 7D (UK 6E C&J, 6F AS, 6E JL, 6.5/7E EG, 6.5/7E G&G), I'm taking a risk with the U last in 40 and New Peter in 39.5.

I had a pair of oxfords (F last) in 40 and were big so I hope the aforementioned sizes work for me. I think the New Peter in 39.5 should work okay since it has been described as a fuller last but I'm a bit concerned with the U last. I have been told that the outsole of the U lasted shoe in 40 was approximately around 11" x 3 5/8" and this seems short for a reputable "longer" last (relative to UK6 or US7 according to charts).

I just wanted to toss up the Vass styles that we launched at Epaulet this week.

Vass for Epaulet Medallion Captoe High Boot - 3636 Last - Dark Cognac Calf $1295

Vass for Epaulet Theresianer Captoe - New Peter Last - Cognac Scotchgrain $865

Vass for Epaulet Alt Wien Captoe - 3636 Last - Antique Cognac Calf $865

Vass for Epaulet Double Monk - F Last - Oxblood Calf $865

Also, if you guys haven't seen anything about it:

The event will be held at our Manhattan store on Friday October 11th and Saturday October 12th. We'll have our Fall shoe delivery by that time and a selection of samples, so you'll be able to see a range of lasts and sizes. Leather and suede swatches will be on hand as well. Our staff and a VASS representative will be there to guide you into the perfect pair.

And as a special incentive, if you purchase a pair of VASS MTO shoes during this event, you may take 15% off any other items bought at the same time (which includes sale merchandise but does not include special order/made to order merchandise). If you cannot make it to our store, then no worries, we can take your order over the phone and the discount on any other merchandise purchased will still apply.

We hope to see you there!

This is actually wrong, there's 6125 dark cognac (seen here: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XQuj5tYwAeQ/UYGC02MaorI/AAAAAAAACSk/EVoefJZs8w0/s1600/DSC01985.jpg ) which is more dark brown with a reddish tint, and red cognac (displayed above) which is much more red, and then actually a new even more bright red color as well.

Thinking about trying the new peter last - what size would a US 12 D on Alden Barrie translate to? 45.5 or 46?

Exquisite is all I can say.  I just received my 6125 Old English New Peter last and they fit to a T.  I'm overwhelmed by the quality, and the color is perfect i.e. brown with a touch of red.
