Edit:  It's been a while but I read somewhere VASS offers a semi bespoke process where existing last are adjusted like you mentioned.
They do offer last adjustments in their semi bespoke option. They meassure your feet and adapt the last of your choice to fit your meassurements. Price is €620, including making of the last and three piece lasted trees, VAT included. A steal!

Edit. This is the risk of answering a post before reading the thread to the end...answering what has already been answered.

The 3636 has a relatively large instep

Just tried them on again, and they fit perfectly right now, with a little tightness in the forefoot.

I just think the lasted instep is slightly higher than mine, but they closed laces aren't overlapping or anything crazy, so I'm going to keep them.

What size are you trying? If it's a 42 I think they're too big biggrin.gif

Oh, you're a 43. Just keep them frown.gif

Many thanks to all the enablers on this thread! I've just placed an order with Notch for a pair of Norwegers: F-last, whiskey shell, double sole with metal taps. 7 weeks until Christmas for me.biggrin.gif

Picked up black oxfords from the shop, but can't decide if I want MTO Old English in oxblood or (very) dark blue?

I already have plenty of browns and a burgundy oxford. I figure dark blue still goes with charcoal and gray trousers, works well with dark denim, and can even substitute for black owing to the shade.....

Lovely shop and nice staff

TLM. Can I ask what the black Oxford ran you buying in person?

this. why does vass require money wire for mail international orders?
Maybe because credit cards charge extra for cross currency/international transfers?
I think not charging to a credit card makes it difficult for people to make purchases due to a complicated system. I mean not gonna lie because its not very streamlined I dont think i would buy from them. There has been a shell split toe boot that I have been oogling but payment/ordering seems way too complicated.

Wire transferring is really easy. Took about 5 minutes, just fill out a form online with my bank and send it.
