I'm just not a monk strap kind of guy, God forbid a double monk, but these shoes are freaking cool looking. I wonder if they're as nice to wear as they are to look at?

A relative new style. the "West" model in "antiqued Cognac" shell Cordovan. K-last.

^^^Uh-mazing.

Edit: I wonder how they would look in a lighter museum calf.

Just got word that my neighbour signed for my Vass that arrived today. I'm seriously considering skipping work despite a visit from the company-wide CEO.

I don't want neighborly fingers all over my new treasure.

Jokes aside Ill be posting a wide array of photos as soon as I get home.

Is cognac the lightest calf color Vass carries (in the tan-brown spectrum)? Looking for something like Edward Green's Edwardian or lighter for this summer.

Nothing will look better than that lovely antic cognac shell

What treatment would you think for polish/cream? The Saphir brown might blot it all out, but a little shine and refreshment would be a decent thing now and then.

I uploaded the price list some time ago, price for a RTW calf boot is €520 + €30 for shoe trees, however the price list also says "Calf leather half boots and boots have special prices in MTO category"

Since any alteriation from their online catalogue is consided a MTO, the price will be in the €600 range for just the boots of you plan on ordering a boot that isn't in their online catalogue. For your information, that's here: http://www.vass-cipo.hu/Eng/Modellek_00_UjModellek.html

Gentlemen, is there a consensus on this thread as to a preference between a Vass calfskin or a shell cordovan dress shoe?
