The Ultimate Vass Porn Thread - Page 491

I have lasted trees in JL, EG, Vass, Kiton and St Crispin shoes. Only the EG are close to fill the entire shoe, but I believe even that has now changed and there's more room at the vamp. All three others are carved at the vamp to a degree or another. For comparison, the JL and St Crispin a little less than the Vass; the Kiton have more room than the Vass

All I'm trying to say is that between the two options you showed above, I would personally recommend the left one because the right one is stretching the upper into a shape that is not the intended shape of that shoe. Between a shoe tree that's slightly too big and one that's slightly too small, I will always pick the one that is slightly too small. YMMV

I think its the U-last; maybe its just the angle of the picture. I'll check with my friend on this.

Will post more pictures tomorrow smile.gif

Quite interested in how Vass looks in museum calf and the difference of the fit from their normal calf.

TS, thanks for sharin the photo. I also just confirmed with Mr. Kuti to make my shoes in museum calf in dark cognac color. I did not have chance to check out the exact color but ask Mr. Kuti to pick one closest to the dark cognac of the normal calf for me. He said the shoes will be ready. So, I guess the color in question already arrived. Have you seen that?

Why would there be any differences in fit?

I contacted Rezso for his and the price for RTW Ilcea leather shoes is €550. This has to do with the fact that Ilcea leather is much more expensive than their usual leather, and supply is very limited.

Not quite K nor U. Could just be the "ill-fitted" F trees. The U last trees do feature that ever-so-slight but distinct squared toe shape. I am not sure I see a significant difference between the lasts that came with my K shoes and U shoes though.

U tree, size 43, from about a year ago. BTW, as far as I know, Vass does not supply half sized trees. I have a few pairs of 43.5 that were delivered with 43 trees.

I guess stiffness of leather differs from one to another and shoe makers skive outer leather (and lining leather) to a desired thickness.   Vass shoes are very flexible and I am wondering if there is a change in the feel of the fit.   I do not mean static fit, but how you feel when you around with shoes on.
