JR sole is the only RTW that I feel proper tough for heavy rain. A lovely sole.

Really! Do you mean that water does not penetrate JR sole?

Do the other suede shoes you mention have leather or rubber sole?

I have both. If it is raining when I leave home, I go for rubber soles. But leather takes more beating than one may believe.

You'll find his e-mail adress on his site.He is a pleasure to deal with, not that good in English, but managable. Got this response regarding prices (don't think he will mind me posting them here):

"RTW € 600.00 € 100.00 blackberries Blake pei the shoe tree, and shipping € 50.00
MTO blake € 900.00 € 100.00 blackberries shoe tree and shipping € 50.00
MTO good year € 1,200.00 including tree she blackberries shipping € 50.00
€ 1,500.00 Novecento shoe tree including blackberries shipping € 50.00"

Novecento includes the making of a test shoe. My test shoe pair is being made right now, really looking forward 'til I have the finished shoes on my feet.

I really hope we will get a detailed post with loads of pictures on your blog! Maybe even a Vass like buyers guide. I for one will will be buying a pair as soon as my finances will permit!

Yes, that is the plan. Don't know if it will be as comprehensive as the Vass guide, depends on for example Riccardos possibility to provide good comparison pics for all his RTW-lasts and information about them, but some kind of buyers guide will be published on the blog. And Riccardo is taking pictures during the manufacturing process, so that will be nice.

Literally can't wait for this! As of yet it is out of my price range but as soon as I finish uni and start working full time I will start putting aside for a pair!

Nice to hear! Yeah I felt the same thing, I have a decent shoe collection and have been very excited when buying the first pairs from some of the makers I have, but this is on a new level, Bestetti are something more.

Sorry if already asked - is this mid-brown suede? I noted a reddish colour of suede in some recent photos from the shop itself. Does anyone own a pair in reddish suede?

Yes, it is mid brown, but it does indeed have a reddish tint to it.

^^ Someone mentioned a couple of pages ago that they have a new suede source...and they actually have a colour called reddish brown. Maybe it is worth getting an update from Razor.
