Got it!

The Italian word for blackberry is "mora", plural "more".  I suspect a bit of hilarious Google translating: 50 Euros "more" for shipping.  Not 50 Euros blackberries. crackup[1].gif

What kind of blackberry do you want to swap - the fruity or the electronic variety?

Also - anyone know where I can pick up a pair of Bestetti's online?
My google search brings me nothing.  I don't mind proxy or ebay.
Just need a pair for my collection...the right size would be nice too.

You can get them here I believe they can order the style you want as well.

He is a pleasure to deal with, not that good in English, but managable. Got this response regarding prices (don't think he will mind me posting them here):

Novecento includes the making of a test shoe. My test shoe pair is being made right now, really looking forward 'til I have the finished shoes on my feet.

I was considering a pair of the Novecento, Please keep us updated on your progress.

I'm a college student as well, just got myself a double monk in the U last and a pair of Old English II, also in the U last. Great quality and value if you compare to the prices of semi good shoes where i'm from!

The P2 seems to be such a nice casual last from all the pictures I've seen, I can't wait to get my pair. Did you get this pair recently? Last I asked Rezső they could no longer provide 3 piece shoe trees, which I thought was a great shame.

You can choose last, leather, single- double or haf-sole, buckle color and so on without any extra cost, even if they are created as an MTO. 520 euro is for when you change the pattern or make a new type of model that they don't have I'm their standard range.
Italian lasts in standard models are still 420 euro, but they did raise the prices for the other lasts from 390 to 420 as well last year.

Just got a reply from Vass saying they recently increased prices, so unfortunately the 520 EUR I was quoted is correct for standard range including VAT, shoe trees and toe tips.

Yes I received them this week, they are having a lot of trouble with the 3 piece shoe trees supply for some time now.

Thanks sstomcat!, not easy, I'm still waiting for trees of shoes I received months ago, I understand the situation and just don't put pressure on them, they feel bad enough with the delays. These ones in the chukka (half boot, like they call them) was a nice surprise.
