Vass sizing is so..interesting. I am a US9D and took a 42 in the New Peter Last for a loafer. It was actually a smidge loose but fits very comfortable with no heel slippage.

If I was a US10D I wouldve gone for a 43. So Im surprised a 43.5 fits you great (although I don't doubt it). Would you say you have wide feet?

He is a 10D in one shoe, and a 10.5 in almost all others, so a 43.5 makes perfect sense.  I am a 10D in most shoes and my three pair of Vass - all different lasts - all fit me well in a 43. Not that complicated.

Is there a price list available online that someone can share? Thanks

Every three-four pages on somebody asks about the price. Golly, I think these people should try reading at least the past 10 pages, or contact Vass.

People just don't like or don't bother to read, not only asking about price, but sizing, shipping, payment etc, every 2 or 3 pages. I tried to help answering here those questions only to find the same question pop again a couple of pages ahead.

Look when I was interested in my first Vass I wasn't even registered and read the thread, everything is here including beautiful pictures. Just go to the beginning of the thread and look, Luk cha, kolecho, gdl. Etc.

Ok, people can say they are busy and don't have time for that stuff, but again, you go 10 pages back and will find everything over and over.

Now that I'm at it, go to the first 10-20 pages of most longer threads and you will realize how much better and less tedious they were, except maybe the G&G thread, that one is more brutal every day and is affecting my wallet.

Most people are lazy. You're more diligent than the typical member.

Well, it's nearly a 400 page thread and was started back way back in 2009. There's no reason someone coming to it for the first time (and new to the forum as well) should expect that a particular question has been answered in either the first 10 pages or the last 10 pages.

What would be helpful is if all that info were easily accessible on the Vass website.

To be fair, googling "vass shoes price list" leads you to here: http://www.vass-cipo.hu/Arlista/VassCipoArlistaEng.pdf , which gives a fair indication of current pricing. Also the contact information is readily available on the website through the 'contact' link.

If you go to the Vass web site, none of the headings lead you directly to a price list.  I'm still not sure how you get to that price list pdf file from the home page of the web site itself.

And not everyone wants to contact a manufacturer directly just to get an idea of price range.  That might make them lazy in the estimation of some.  Not in mine.  It's not unreasonable to assume that thread participants would be able to provide a quick answer to a simple quetion (as you did, if not for that reason).

That information is easily accessible via Google without the need to use obscure search terms. I mean, googling 'Vass shoes prices' would give you a rough answer as well. A perfectly legitimate search query if you ask me.

I'd have thought that if one is interested in a product, they'd have taken some time to read the thread, and if the topic on sizing and prices has been broached ad nauseum throughout the thread, and they're interested in the shoes, I really think it's fair to expect somebody to do a little legwork -- browsing 5-6 pages back is not too much to ask. Or just googling it.

That price list is outdated. Vass did a price increase in June 2012, and since then they don't have the list on their site anymore.

Standard models are now also €420, and cordovan around €660. Shoe trees went from €25 to €30

I think that's a fair point too.

What might be helpful would be a "sticky" thread of shoe references that's always at the top, containing links to brochures, price lists, last shape comparisons, etc.  No pics, just attached files for each maker in alphabetical order.  In fact, I will post this in the suggestions thread right now.

In the mean time, I'll try to be helpful - this is the last stuff I had:

Website: www.vass-cipo.hu

How to order: email Mr Rezso Kuti, Sales Manager - info@vass-cipo.hu

prices_árak-1.pdf 41k .pdf file

Catalogue 3,523k .pdf file

Colour Chart 38k .png file

Selected Leather Options 111k .jpg file

That's what I thought - thanks.  And a perfect exampe of a one-line response that answers the question, versus a few paragraphs denouncing the person who asked it.

mimo - good suggestion.

Denouncing?

The information Tom has provided has been repeated every 5-7 pages, and can be found with a quick search on Google, with the most basic of search terms like 'Vass shoes prices'. I don't see why there's a need to repeat the price again and again and again and again.

Did you do a search before inquiring about the price, or were you contented to ask without doing any legwork?

So if tomorrow some ignorant lazy new poster poses the same question and another one the next day and so on, is somebody to keep repeating the price when it's a page away? It's farfetched that in this day and age, that if somebody wants to buy smth, they don't have the common sense to do a quick search.

It's one thing if the information is damn difficult to obtain, it's another matter when the most basic search will yield good results.

Unfair, the point was that you will see the same questions in two pages. How many times will you answer the same thing, it drags the tread. I've read about the new prices here like 10 times.
