Achtung!

I remember reading here that Vass F Last suits people with decent foot volume. You don't want your feet to be swimming in them.

PS. I love the G&G Oxford on the GG06 Last....its a damn fine shoe.

Small = short.
I read that the F and U last had quite high an instep but as I fit quite nicely into the C&J 337 and told Reszo so and he too encouraged me to go for the F last, I think I will be fine or at least won't have great troubles to return them.

PS: The single thread stitches of the G&G definitely are very sexy, but they are above my budget, also I really want to own a pair of Vass!

These just in: Old English II in bordeaux calf, F-last. This is an extremely contoured and close-fitting masterpiece of a last. I would advise everyone to go at least ½ size bigger than usually.

Last year I ordered a MTO pair with F-last, but comparing this new pair to it, the lasts and fit are definitely different. I sent an email, asking if there's been a error made with my MTO pair. Waiting for a reply at the moment.

Great shoe!!! I have it in oxblood, your photos provide excellent detail.

Am leaning to the Chelsea at the moment, I think it's the most simplistic and thus conservative of the three.
Will reserve the OE for colors which will be more fun than black smile.gif

+1, I have it in antique cognac, if I have to choose only one pair, that would be it.

I have 4 pairs of Vass - all size 45, all F last. The oxford captoe is the snuggest by far while the derby style is the roomiest by far. In between are a double monk which is also roomy but not as much as the derby and a swan neck which is between the monk and captoe. They all feel like the same length and width even though they have been ordered over a two year period. I'm assuming that the difference in roominess has to do with the model and how much each shoe style "gives" when I walk. Just a theory.

I have it in dark brown as my formal shoe. Since I'm not a suit person and derby fits me better than a oxford probably I will go for one in oxblood in future

Could someone please add the Vass colour chart on this thread? I seem to have erased my copy.

Mr. Kuti answered to my second mail this very afternoon.

I just handed in an order on Chelsea in black boxcalf on F last with single leather sole, without toe taps, in UK6.5 and with matching trees smile.gif
