Looking good shoes MoL.

My shoes are on their way. I am so stoked, hopefully none of the mix-ups others mentioned. It is great turnaround time. I may order something again, if they meet my expectations.

Now I'm going to do something I hate doing, namely ask to be brought up to speed because I'm too lazy to read several hundred pages to do the research needed.

I'm considering placing an order for a pair of Vass shoes or boots. I'm just not sure whether I need to go MTO for what I want or if there is something in their standard stock which appeals to me. So I guess my first question would be, how does one know what shoes are part of their ready to wear range without actually visiting Budapest? And if I decide to go MTO, is the current price list on the Vass website correct? How long is the turnaround time for MTO shoes generally? And lastly, what is the most efficient way of placing orders with Vass?

To whoever answers my questions, I thank you most sincerely.

No way of telling whats in their standard stock. Emailing is slow. For fastest results call and speak to Reszo (Rezhure) and have your model numbers ready. He will tell you on the spot. Price for calf is 420 euro, cordovan is 490 euro with VAT. Boots are more. MTO can take a month. The way I ordered was talk to him to understand what you want done...and take his advice he knows these shoes better then most. Once you know what you want email him and list out everything in point form with webpage links and any other requests you agreed with him. Ask him to send you a purchase order detailing everything in black and white on a letterhead (but do it diplomatically). Then transfer the money and wait. They'll contact you when ready. If the shoes don't turn out to your liking there is a return policy but you should ask him to clarify the conditions.

What sort of edge trim would you recommend for a Whiskey loafer and a 3 eye derby in oil green calf? Thanks

WOW, that easy! I am sure there is a better way!

Yes Im sure there is but I dont want to pay a surcharge to some middleman when Reszo is the perfect guy to deal with. I enjoy doing research for shoes and shit that I like. Part of the chase. Cheers

I explained what I did, very easy. Have everything you want listed out and put that in the email and wait 48 hours, tops, for a response. The first one took a little longer, every one after that was within 24 hours.

There is a format in this thread that details how I listed my desires.
