Whoever wrote that the U last gets more attractive and the F last gets stumpier as the size gets smaller may have been on to something. Anyway, Italian oxford in saddle shell, F-last.

What size are these?

40.5. Also, I'd advise anyone thinking of sizing differently between U and F lasts to think again if you have narrow feet. This seems to be a phenomenon confined to those with normal width feet, and the U-Last is off limits for those with wide feet. If I were to re-order, I would go with 41 in both U and F lasts with my narrow feet.

U last 41 in bordeaux shell.

Nice shoes!  I too have sized up in U-   to 44, whereas I go 43 or 43.5 in F and P2.  It used to worry me that my U lasts were a bit loose, and even looked largish on me, but I've solved the looseness with leather inserts, which make the shoe more comfortable.  As for the look of them, my attitude has changed since my daughter made an unsolicited comment one day that 'I prefer to see a man with larger feet in proportion to his body-  looks more manly'.

Since then I've decided I really like my larger-sized shoes.  I just don't wear stove pipes with em.

That's an afterward shot, actually. I'm doing it just to annoy you, Fritzl. Hope you're not losing any sleep over it.

Not trying to pour gas on the fire, but why do you add these? Does Vass not offer a similar option?
Yeah they do, but this trio came via a somewhat discounted third party, so didn't have them.

The leather on the Vass shoes I use most often is hardly worn at all-  I find a toe tap - rubber or steel  -  is enough.

Did someone once say that the Budapest Last was not elegant? I declare that statement wrong and I have evidence to back it up.
