Hah, I was lucky, man - they probably found a piece laying about on the workshop floor or something. It's not a color they frequently use.

The taps were EURO35 IIRC.

The natural edge soles look fantastic.

Will the colour on these get lighter or darker with age?

they will get lighter, especially in the vamp. that color is immaculate. how is the fit?

and your trees have black globes instead of natural. why?

No idea re the "globes" - didn't ask for them specifically.

The colour is growing on me, wasn't too sure at first glance - probably because it wasn't exactly what I was excpecting. It's almost like a deep whiskey (as opposed to a light cigar).

I'll report on the fit tonight when I get them home. Go on, put an order in..

Shoes are excellent but there's no way that is cigar. I like whiskey or saddle (thats what it looks like) for that shoe more than cigar btw

Yes, I agree re the colour being a whiskey variant. In fact, coincidently, there was a folded up note in the shoe, looks like a handwritten requirements definition for my shoes, it actually says "whiskey" on it....

I feel a little upset, considering I requested cigar, was told I would be getting cigar (albeit "light" cigar..), and they end up whiskey, with the original make up instructions to match!

Not sure if I should be pissed, or just glad that I like the shoes. The fit is great, btw, but I do feel like I had the wool pulled over my eyes a little.

They look really, really nice. If in fact they are Whiskey (which they do look like) I would call this a happy accident. I actually think Whiskey shell is better for the Norweger style of shoe than Cigar shell. The main reason being the creasing. These will likely crease a good amount and the creasing always turns lighter. With the Cigar shell the contrast with the creases is greater, but with Whiskey they will blend in more neatly. I also like the way Whiskey shell contrasts against the darker shade of the stitching around the shoe. A perfect year round color that is very versatile. If I didn't already have a pair of NST boots in very similar Chromexcel color I'd be looking to get these!

Looks like Antique Cognac, but it's beautiful. I think it's much nicer than Cigar.

this is cigar, variations could be a little lighter with a greenish tone but not light as centennial shoes. Pardon Kolecho for using your pic.

And I agree with you. Of course I understand that he wanted cigar and he is dissapointed, but sometimes these opinions help a bit put on some blue chinos or nice jeans and rock them, pretty things they are.
