Looks like the Goodyear welted information is just rumor according to Vass. One of their biggest customers asked them about it and they said the information is wrong as they only do hand-welted shoes. Perhaps it was speculation on someone's part with the new store. Glad to know I'll still be able to get my Vass the good ol' fashioned way!

Don't shoot the messenger! Is it being talked about among craftsmen who don't work at Vass? Unless they heard it from Vass directly isn't that then speculation? If they did hear it from Vass directly then there are mixed messages which is odd.
