Budapester style in the F last with a combination of dark brown calf (main part of shoe) and dark brown scotchgrain (tongue/throat only). Double sole with 270 degree goyser welt and metal toe tip.

Anyone with experience with the New Peter (P2) last? I'm thinking of ordering a pair of boot soon, but still unsure about sizing. If I'm a true 10US, what size do I go for?

My only Vass pair. These are MTO, F-last double monks in Oxblood with arch support, cost me 400 euros directly from Vass-cipo. They made it in 1 month and even reduced the price in the invoice so that I had not to pay customs (although I didn't ask for it).

Very nice soft leather, few nice details.  

It fits extremely comfortable from the beginning and I'm worrying wouldn't they become too bbig when I break-in?

Two sad moments:

The strips are sewed, not connected by strings like on my Bontoni or on the JL William. This means I need to open at least upper strips to take them off!

Also I expected the two-color sole, I didn't order it but thought it goes two-tone by default.

what does this mean? by strings do you mean elastic? nice shoes btw. still need to pop my Vass cherry but unsure of what to get

I have compared the lasted trees from Vass and Edward Green, maybe it could help.

 

-Vass F-last size 43 (UK9,5)

-Edward green 888 UK9,5E 

 

 

as you can see here the vass has much higher instep

 

EG Last is lower but even wider then Vass

 

Yep, I mean elastic. On mine backles are sewed to the leather stripes, not to the elastic.

I would better take the shoe off without unstripping them.
