not sensitive at all. not a fan of the u last and any other chisel dizzle, despite of their origin. actually, it's not e.g. their fault that these kinds are sf darlings, independent of the big picture. see e.g. lonne.

Not really, but offering an opinion without reason struck me as a bit over the top.  Now I see what you're saying-  the U does have an angular quality that I quite like, although I don't generally go for wedge shapes and square toes.  I think the U works best without a toe-cap.  the derby wing-tip is a particularly good balance.

First boot, name of calf and the color? Is this the only commando sole that vass offers? Is it spliced with double leather sole in this photo?

Second photo, is this just brown scotch grain? No eyelets but the holes look bigger or is it just me?

How much would 2nd boot be on F last, white norwegian stitch, rugged sole, pull tab etc.
