Compliment accepted - and in all seriousness, it means a lot because my grandfather was always dressed well, even after he retired. He wore a suit and well polished wingtips up until the day he died. I found a pair of shoes a couple years ago that I instantly recognized as virtually identical to the wingtips my grandfather wore. I bought them on the spot, and I wear them to work frequently. Every time I see them, I think of him.

Can anyone who owns both the K last and the U last discuss how they both compare as to fit?

Are they identical...or is the K last a bit roomier in the toe box and tad bit wider overall?

I'd like to know as well. I had a pair of the Budapest Oxfords in U-last a few months ago, but didn't keep them long because they didn't break properly for me. I decided to try the K-last to see, and I went a half-size up to see if it would help. To me, the K-last looks very similar to the U-last. Just based on my impression from what what I recall of my U-last Oxfords, the toe box of this new pair seems roomier (higher). I also recall another member saying the vamp might be a bit higher on the K-last.

The Vass rep told me "The K last...is similar to the U last. Just the toe part is smaller and narrower than U last".

Aph999...thanks for the update. Looks like the Vass reps description details the smaller size of the K last's front end...but more importantly, your sizing comparison gives me hope that the K last is roomier and not as narrow as the U last
