I'm comparing to other brands, taking into account my experience and what I've been told by others in person and online (and no, not just Swedes). And like I said, what Vass says themselves. Actually the only person I can remember ever saying that Vass Italian lasts have a low instep, is you.

Agree, relatively high instep compare to other makers from UK, but similar to Bestettis instep

Yeah, and Bestettis insteps are also considered high.

Good point - and one that occurred to me - I have certainly seen lighter blue calf than these.  Mine are very dark indeed - more a midnight blue than navy. It's just that I don't see any of the mottled effect that one expects with museum.  It can be a beast to capture in photos, but these pics are a fair representation of what my eyes are seeing with the shoes in hand.

What size? The K last is really flattering in these proportions.  That's a sleek and versatile boot.

@RogerP, those are a 43.5 Agreed, they are a very judicious choice by a member with a fine eye for details.

@NAMOR what polish do you use for them? i've got antique cognac OEII's that look very different in colour!

Does anyone have some pics of a worn and used whole cut? How do they wear with creases? Looking to maybe get one but they don't seem to get a lot of loving?
