Ordering straight from Vass, including shoe trees and shipping, if your outside the EU will set you back around 400 euros.I believe that if your in the US, it will be slightly lower then 400 euros.

For mail order, will Vass send trial shoes ? Or do buyers take sizing risk when ordering ?

I believe it's somewhat of a risk, but Vass will usually take things back if in brand new condition from what I understand.

Thanks everyone for all the wonderful pics and information. I am about to take the plunge on a pair of F-Last Old English II in Oxblood. Just a quick question about sizing, I have narrow heels.

9.5E UK in 348, feels great after a few wears
10E UK in all the other C&J lasts
10.5/11D or E 82 last in EG I have about a 1/4 inch space at heel
10E UK 7000 last in JL about 1/4 inch space at heel
AS Exclusive 10UK EE in 104 last-Good fit
10.5UK in Carmina Rain last

Thanks

I'd say a size 44 on the F last. Good luck!

That's weird, as I have the oppoite experiense - UK9,5E in 337&341 Crockett and UK9 in Carmina Rain.

BTW I'm 43,5 in F-last Vass.

Thanks to the both of you.

Carmina just doesn't fit me well or I just keep getting in wrong. Are you on the longer side of a 11D US or more of a 10.5D US? 12.5" Outsole is perfect, although insole is what counts. I am going to trace my foot today.

Very nice.
Like!!!
Thanks Splender...This was my first real venture with Vass so I wanted to keep it simple and clean. Vass's turn around time is exceptionally quick in comparison to (EG). The F Last is suprisingly comfortable and the quality of the leather looks better in person.

excellent boots. I have a derby boot in a similar shade of scotch grain and i love it.
Thanks fritzl, I must admit I am drawn to the look and composition of anything scotch grain. The scotch grain mitigates on the overcreasing typically seen on smooth calf finishes. I am close to pulling the trigger on some English Grain MTO G&G's

I would think going to Budapest and trying things on and seeing them in person is tough to beat. From what I understand Budapest is also a beautiful and fun city.
