cheers Medwed-  haven't often seen these in this thread- they look great.  Couple Q's-   did u specify contrast stitching on the top? and how about the sizing-  did u size down for the loafer? thx

I did not specify anything except the model and size and the size was wrong, apparently. The shoes are for sale now and I am reordering another pair in N- narrow width and full size smaller. Welcome to VASS circa 2012.

How unfortunate. Was the size not right for you or did Vass mess up the order?

The Alt Wien and Budapester .....

Nicely done...love the Goyser stitching on the budapester...but how come you held off on doing it with the Alt Wein?

Good stuff. How do you find the 3636 fits compared to the Budapest last? About the same? For me I take a 43.5 in the F and P2, but need a 44 for the Budapest since it's a shorter last.

You are doing the right thing. I like the 3636 more....but its little too early to comment on the Budapest..

Put some polish on "...for the week...

Few observations-
Shell construction seems somehow superior, feels more robust and heavier
Vass seems to have refined the channel stitching. These seems almost unnoticeable.Perhaps this is the beauty f handmade and a single artisan making each individual shoes.
The soles on both does not have the JR stamp, not sure if they have switched. they look and feel identical to the JR stamped soles.

This is the patented "tomcat method" :D
