Now if only I could persuade them to make an F or R last that I could fit into.

congrats Theyare- that's a damn near perfect shoe on a perfect last.
None of yo fancy-schmancy extras- just three pieces of upper leather on a hand-sewn foundation making a classic PTB. It doesn't scream 'look at me' but IMO this'll go with just about anything in your wardrobe bar smoking jackets and liederhosen.

It's a deep red that works equally with charcoal, light grey, browns, navy, all blues even- and a style that dresses down for beating round town and up to any suit u can throw at it. Wear them in good health

Ummm...so you got that shoe in Burgundy shell, but the top of the soles was natural color and you're waiting for someone else to take photos?

Look forward to seeing what you got as I'm contemplating something almost like the photo from the book one of these days.

the formality of a ptb suffices for lederhosen. this is the recommended choice besides the rustic haferlschuh.

Me need to buy acetone and strip down finish on edge.
lt very hard because it easy to make mistake.
Strip welt and use edge dressing on welt impossible,
can only do edge.
Need good horsehair brush to apply finish very good and use brown leather to buff edge good.
Shoe not look good now but me fix it,
but it not look perfect because welt still be natural colour. :fu:
Me be at least week before me finish job.
Me post before and after.
Never perfect but best me can do.

Well, I do see the beauty of this shoe from and angle, I will hesitate or even consider to wear this with a suit unless I want the shoe to be the cynosure of all eyes. IMHO.
