Which last is the 3rd shoe from the left in the first pic? F last?

was wondering this too

yes this is the F Last in all its glory

thanks, I couldn't tell because of the fore-shortening. from angles i get confused between F, P2 and 3636.
FWIW i think that while a great photo it is not the most flattering pic of the F.
my grail shoe now is a single soled F Oxford, probably 'Buda' style, and in that same colour, dark cognac. now that i'm sure of fit i just wanna keep buying Fs ad nauseum. to me it's the closest to perfect in all 3 dimensions, hell even 4 dimensions when u consider that over time the last will prob be kindest to my tootsies.

Is the general consensus that when moving from the U to the F last, one should go half a size down? I am looking to go from a single to double monk; any thoughts are much appreciated.

^ I wear a 44 on the U last and a 43.5 on the F and P2.

been discussedquite a bit in this thread, but yes general rule is a half size diff because the U last is narrow. Thing is, it depends on your foot width. If yours is narrow there may be no need to size down to F.

I'm not saying it's an ugly shoe, just not a good representation of the F.
Makes the shoe look shorter and wider than it is

I agree and was thinking it's a smaller size like around a 7.5 or so...truth be told, I kind of like the stubby look it as there, but then again I've been moving towards clunkier styles recently along with some other guys.
