Agreed on the DB and Cigar. I'd probably give the edge to the DB shell as it seems to be a slight tough more of a traditional, rich brown. My Whiskey and Saddle are noticeably different at this point. I imagine they'll get more similar as time goes on.


Both are DTS sole. I like DTS from Vass. It is solid. I have never had any issues with Vass soles, single, DTS or double. Even those that have been through flooded streets and all have remained unscathed. I can't say the same for my EGs unfortunately. Some of my EGs have seen the outsole come off of its midsole, and midsole come off of its welt at the toe tips, and I wear my EGs less than my Vass.


All of my Vass have been DTS thus far. Some are thicker than others, but I feel that sole is more in line with the character of most Vass shoes than any other.

+1 especially for the rustic styles and skins. Vass are pretty masculine generally so the double and DTS in U and F mostly look right. I like the singles for work shoes tho
