The Ultimate Vass (Footwear) Thread (Pictures, reviews, sizing, etc...) - Page 21

I don't think Fritzl couriers only unsold bespoke orders...I thought I could order a new shoe with him too?

And I think I might be ready to do it...especially after finally viewing that trusting picture of him

Plus the way that F-last on double sole upturns its toebox (a-la clown shoes) is awful.

could you please post pics of your Vass shoes with this malady.

This thread has been making me mad lately. I love when this thread is updated, and I get to drool over a new pair of Vass. It was the highpoint of my styleforum day when this thread had a new post. The split-second of loading time anticipation to see a new pair of Vass (unless the servers are constipated, then I got to wait for a good 3-4 seconds) is exciting. This thread has failed other the last couple of days (furo's shells are the exception) with bickering and no pictures. No more talking. More pictures.

Nice!

Did you notice a waxy buildup around the stitching near the vamp? It was also present in the seams on the heel. I spent some time scraping it all off with a fingernail because I figure anything that is so easily removed cannot be a trait that was intended to be there permanently. It was dark in color, and I noticed it as I was buffing them up with a cloth ... some of the waxy substance has already worked its way into the leather on the sides, so I'm trying to limit any further spreading of it.

Here's a closeup, hopefully someone can discern what this is:

I thought they were the P2, but I could be mistaken.

I think it is the wax that Vass used to finish off the shoes. I personally don't mind it, and suggest you not try to remove it at this stage. With regular use and brushing, it should mostly blend in.
Luk-cha,

I don't think that is the shell own wax, I think they are Kiwi wax that Vass used on finishing.
Shell own wax won't just stay on the area near seams, polishing wax do.
It happened on my Vass shell too.

Beautiful shoes. Might have to post mine and get started again.
