what last are those on?
Hello all - my first post on the Vass thread. Here are a couple indoor pictures of a new pair of Vass MTO on the P2 last (my favorite fit), standard cap toe (model 1030) in a dark cognac cordovan with dainite sole. The shell has way more brown variation in the sun, and will age beautifully I hope. These will get a ton of wear!
Shameless personal sales alert ahead:
I would really prefer to sell these here, but moving to the bay shortly if not sold. See below and thanks
Some people take same F and U. Others size down a half size from U to F. I was using conjecture based on all your measurements. Best you speak with someone who sells Vass directly for the best advice. Good luck.
I was under the impression that Vass uses the same Museum Calf as Lobb. I have actually heard a lot of good comparisons of Vass's museum calf over say, Bonafe. How would spending more money solve the problem?
He just got a hide that wasn't as mottled, I can see it being a bit disappointing too. That is the allure of the museum calf after all. Lobb is likely just more selective in what makes it to production. Perhaps they get premium hides at a premium? Who knows.
Either way, if it doesn't shoe museum effects, hi shine it or burnish it in areas and make it work because its easy to wear and a great color for footwear.
