The design and last gave a hint of bespoke shoes, with a wider waist

How do you like the side laces?  Any difference in fit, do you find they bunch at all when you walk?

Wholecut on the p2 last. Interesting. Do they look chunky?

Why don't you take a look at the very nice top down pictures the gentleman posted.

Can't you see for yourself?

Chill mate. I have a pair incoming on the P2 last as well and wanted to know in his opinion if he felt it could possibly be a little chunky on certain angles. P2 last is known for a little round and chunky isn't it? Nonetheless, nice wholecuts!

It's based on a traditional Hungarian last, so it has a deep toe box and an old fashioned feel.  But the "new"/"2" bit of this "Peter" is that the toe is slightly extended, making it work a bit better as a dress shoe.  To be frank, it's quite heavy and blobby next to a modern English or Italian dress shoe, but that's a matter of taste.  I have two pairs on the P2, and they all have their place for a certain look or mood.

First pair of Vass, I think it's model 1006 on the P2. Hat tip to @Notch.

Is that cordovan? Looks very light, like color 2.

It is! Described as Bordeaux, but it definitely shines brighter in the sun than any other color 8 I have.
