Fully agree...boots make up only about 1/10 of my collection...although I plan on changing that pretty soon. Lol. What are you sitting on Roger?

Late to the party. First pair of Vass, cigar shell captoes. Nailed my size though on first pair. First of many Vass to come.

True! 10 pairs quality boots is not small. There's only a select few that I choose to wear during the warmer months but they get abused over rain/winter.

The suede/calf combo came polished by Vass, the scotch grain/calf combo was polished by me.

I make it a policy not to count. :D  No, seriously - I'd probably scare myself. :embar:  More than 10 but not a lot more.  I actually sold maybe 3 pairs of boots last year to help make sense of the world and restore balance in the Force.

I think my next pair will be Vass though - those tan / grain boots Jok posted fill me with want.

But they're literally the Vass version of the classic doak/walnut cc Galway, which EG executes more cohesively, no?

The Valway is a smashing design, but works best in other makeups I reckon.

Now that looks like A Pair of Shoes. Nothing more, nothing less. Congratulations-- especially b/c it fits! F?

Yes, simplistic beauty, and yup F last. Just blew out my C&J Audleys soles after about 8yrs. Figured these would fit nicely until I get around to re-soling them.

I'm talking second pair from the left - uppers are pretty far removed from DOAK. Though the shaft may be similar to Walnut country calf.

That pair caught my attention too. Hopefully it turns into a GMTO that I can purchase.

Yeah, thanks man. I was in Barney's recently and all those lovely JL William 2 boots were making me eager for this one to come through.

Will do. This will be my first F last actually. I've got a P2 and U, and think they both handle their girth in a pleasing manner.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
