P2 mid brown from Massdrop.

Just for my own understanding is the P2 and New Peter the same last?

Yep, P2 is New Peter. I picked P2 dark brown.

is vass scotchgrain in oxblood/burgundy close to the EG Rosewood CC in colour? I have no experience in their grain.

I setup an "Indirect AMA" with Vass over on /r/goodyearwelt on reddit. If you've ever wanted to ask Rezso or Laszlo anything Vass related... now is the time! Either post over on reddit or post questions here. I'll be sending a document for them to answer and I'll be posting an "interview" type post after I get the answers back.

Incoming pair from a certain shoemaker in Hungary.
This is one of their newer models. I'd requested a small modification with a dropped peak on the "Balmoral" seam.

Nice! I like my River II's a lot. Is that 6125 cognac?

Thanks guys.
Erm, it's supposed to be plum museum? Or at least that's what I'd ordered. Lol.

It probably is. That lighting is harsh and unrepresentative. Plus the shine is distracting.

The Vass table is like the candy stripe baby receiving blanket.

Vassdrop came in while I was traveling over the weekend.  My first pair of Vass and I'm pretty damn thrilled with them.  Super comfortable and I love the P2 last.

I'm also really really impressed with that welt job.  So damn tight. Very impressive!   Glad I went with the midbrown color as well.  It's pretty muted indoors but pops in the sunlight.  Should be very versatile.

Nice mod!

It should be possible to request that the swan neck stitch arc resemble the one on the G&G model, right? The "beak" by the laces is sharper on that one.

Well I do believe they're fully capable of it.... the issue here is how you communicate what you want to Reszo.
