Would be happy to identify any colors that interests you guys.

@watchidiot Thanks for sharing! Would be great if you could add references or names when you have the time :worship:

This is really great and its nice to see good size swatches in natural light. I agree that identifying each swatch would be very helpful, so thanks for the effort!

Great idea to cover a huge selection of leather colors from Vass!

Now only if we could also see this for the suede and exotic leathers!!

yes exactly. it would be a moving target. no consensus or ideal fit. it would require an indepth breakdown of each last by width at ball, heel, length, instep etc. and how each last last relates to one another

f last is a good starting point no? does everyone (everyone with a regular instep, regular width) agree that a 45 f last is a 12 (uk11.5 EG and G&G, Alden Barrie 11.5)

9 - 42
10 - 43
11 - 44
12 - 45

?

I agree because my 46.5 fits a little shorter than my size 14 so about a 13.5.

I think those look pretty close to how they do IRL. Maybe a hair darker but that could be my screen. Good on you @watchidiot smile.gif

I'm curious how new US customers have been able to order from Vass directly after they stopped allowing it. There are a few members I see in this thread who discovered Vass after this stopping point yet they are able to order direct. Is it the case that you have to visit the actual store to get sized and then you become an official customer who can order direct?

8.5uk=42.5 eu

9 uk=43 eu

:paranoia:

Thank you! I think I could've gotten closer with a proper camera but used only an iPhone. Will do another shoot with a camera soon.

I'll make your point for you by saying my personal experience already disagrees.

I have a 45 F-last suede wingtip that is a perfect fit. I have two Alden Barrie lasted shoes that are 11.0 D and they are both much wider than the F-last. I certainly wouldn't want to go swimming in a Barrie 11.5.
