I imagine they're making much less per pair than the retailers. VOLUME rotflmao.gif

Congrats! What last/color did you go for?

20 are in.

The Massdrop is tempting but I really don't need any more boots. If there was a grain option, that might change my mind. Hopefully this is the first of many Vass x MD MTOs. I'd be down for a F last cap toe or adelaide.

Is there really such a thing?

You might have a point there.

They ended this early, Ian Anderson at Massdrop just posted this at their site:

Hey all, important update:
Due to the amount of orders in Vass' workshop right now, I've been informed that we will need to end this drop early so that this order can get fit in. I know that there are many of you that were on the fence about joining and I'm sorry to pull this out from under you, but hopefully there will be another opportunity soon.
If you joined this drop but need to make any last-minute changes to your order, please contact our support team at massdrop.com/support ASAP.
Sorry to end this early, but thanks to those of you that have already committed to the drop! I'm hopeful that we can offer more styles from Vass in the coming months.

BUGGER!

I guess I won't be ordering then. I wonder if there was some sort of misunderstanding and Vass just thought it was a group buy for 20 pairs, not a 20 pair minimum. With a 7-8 week turnaround on single MTOs now, I would be surprised if they were prepared to handle an order of 100 boots in addition to their usual schedule and still make that Feb. ship date.

Congrats to all who got their orders in though!

I saw that in the discussion. I'm guessing, as others have said, that there was some miscommunication. This is a GMTO, so relative to others, 20 pairs is already a very large order.

On the brighter side, I suppose closing at 20 orders will help avoid longer lead times times for those of us who order direct or from a 3rd party. I would be bummed out if Vass quoted me a 12-15 week time all because they received a GMTO of 50+ shoes.
