when the laces are fully closed the shoes do fell tight. It has more to with:

- aesthetics, although I am not sure about if I dislike them being fully closed on derby (on the opposite I am sure I like them fully closed on Oxfords)

- fit: if the shoes become more loose in the future after beak in , if they will become too loose and with no chance left to thightning

E uma lastima cezinho.

May be its Vassway again.   I own 2 pairs on F last 42.5 size and narrow E width.  Both are shell and they were quite tight (compare to F standard width).  I am pretty sure those of yours will strech quite well with time and wear. If shell shoes are not snug enought at first wear, you will need to use really thick shocks.

Return them if possible.

Day 3 of wearing new Vass shoes. Been a great show week for me. Derby boots in Terracota "F" last on Dianite. First pair of boots arrived just in time as snow on its way to Budapest. Off to the shop this afternoon to make a new suede boot MTO. Order by tomorrow and should be ready pre-Christmas.

Yup. I really needed a mid-brown shoe in my rotation and I was going for something of a EG or GG Oak. Of course Vass doesn't make that color so this was as close as I could get.

Big thanks to Sammy and Karl at Ascot. These just came in after waiting for quite some time. Too awesome.

do you mean cognac? Never heard of them stocking terracotta
post #17669 of 20276
Reszo describes them as terraccota, afraid I don't know if that is the same as cognac. Suspect not, as quite an orangy hue to them and I don't have any other shoes in cognac calf to be able to compare. However, the mention "red cognac" on their site, so suspect it is that.

Does anybody know if Vass works with 0.25 and E width shoe trees in all lasts to make a MTO 42.25/E width shoe on a P2/ F/S/3636... last?.  That would mean to work with hundreds of shoe trees. I wonder wether or not those orders are reliable?
