Since this has been mentioned would like to know why Vass leaves tack holes at the heel of their shoes and makers such as EG and others don't. Would appreciate if someone and go into detaisl about this tack holes relation oath lasting. Is there any benefits having tack holes in the heel vs those that doesn't?
are tack holes part of hand lasting while those that have not machine lasted?or are tack holes also used in machine lasting as well?
While I don't know the answer to this, I do notice that my Bonafes, which are hand lasted and hand welted, also have tack holes in the same place.
