I love chukkas. I have three. One shell, one museum calf, and one suede.

Thinking of getting one of these two next. Maybe in grain leather or green suede:

Oxblood is so beautiful. I need two pairs of long wings in P2 last, one Oxblood and one dark cognac. Ugh.

Thanks! For P2 I went half a size down to 44 H. It's still on the big side for me. I'm going to try an insole.

Here are my sizes:

AE (all lasts) 10.5 3E
Alden Barrie 10.5 3E
Alden hampton 11 E
Bonafe 946 10 H
Carmina Detroit 10 3E
Vass P2 44 H
Vass U 44.5 H

Hope it helps!

44.5H!? Are you taking a ring to Mordor?

Why not get a smaller width, such as a G if the H is too large?

Sorry, I wasn't clear. The length and width are perfect. P2 is a little on the "deep" side. I've got a low volume foot. I put a very thin insole in and it works just fine.

Yes, I'm a hobbit. I've got hairy toes, too and eat 9 meals a day.

Some incoming boots.

Suffice to say, I'm very excited.

How do you like your shell chukkas? I'm heading to The Vass store late next month and I am considering a shell chukka if they have some in stock while I'm there. What color are yours? I'd like something lighter, but I don't know what's available since there is still a shortage of shell.

I'm a huge fan of chukkas, too. My first Vass pair is due to arrive any day now.

Those are both terrific. I'd be happy with either pair

Pretty sure I'll be a target if I wear them there.

Sorry, I was unclear last night due to being on the verge of passing out. My 3 chukkas are from different makers, but the shell ones are Horween natural and the museum pair are plum. I love them both, though the fit on the museum chukkas isn't ideal.

I'm considering the apron toe chukka in some kind of calf leather. Or the plain toe chukka in the new Vass green suede.

Will there be any issues at customs importing this pair?
