@RogerP those red cognacs look striking! Kind of like "chili" from AE. Is there a comparable grain leather?

The only museum I have is a plum chukka from Bonafe. As others say, I find it thinner and softer, kind of like the consistency of ladie's shoes. foo.gif
Thank you bud saw few pic of museums calf was little worried if,it's going to look like some horror pic might as well get different color biggrin.gif

I certainly don't find the museum to be significantly thinner and my light gold are one of my most worn shoes with no concerns about how they're aging

I've only ever seen Red Cognac in smooth calf - not sure if it is offered in grain.

For U.S. customers,

If one purchases a shoe through their MTO program in person in Budapest, does this open the option to order future purchases directly from their site? Or are we still limited to using Vass' 3rd party retailers?

I imagine you'd be good for future purchases in that case

Mines are on the way.  Had to wait around 3 month for them; it seems Vass has changed his shoe trees maker supplier. The ones I had before were excellent too.

I'll be able to answer this definitively very soon. Will be visiting Vass in Budapest next week. More than likely will need to do some MTOs.

Hey what do you mean by making a lasted shoe tree. I was under impression all vass shoes came with one. Or are you getting some thing extra that I am not aware of?

Hey, I did not mention "lasted" shoe tree. I was refering only to a standard 3 pieces shoe tree.

3 piece trees are lasted; a lot more so than standard Vass trees, hence the wait; they're made to order

So what I am getting out of it is vass tree that you get for free are not lasted tree but they fit well. But if you want three peace shoe tree you can get one. Or are three peace shoe tree for boots. Sorry for the confusion just trying to understand what all my options are as far as shoe tree goes. If I wanted to buy them vs free ones.

I have 2 different 3 pieces from Vass. One is lasted, but the other one I believe is standard.  I will check it tomorrow and post pics.
