. You have been on fire with your helpful responses and I appreciate it. I'll assume you are simply taking the standard widths in U, F, and K last. I should be a 43.5 then as I'm a 9.5UK for Rain. Thanks
Yes standard F width bud

I wear standard width Vass 43 in F, K and U lasts, 42.5 in P2 and 3636, UK9 F in GG, UK 9 E in most EG, and UK9 in a boot for Carmina Rain.

Gosh, we all have such different experiences with Vass.

I wear a UK8.5 in Rain (can go down to UK8 for derbies / suede), UK9 in Simpson.

EU42 in F last, EU42.5 in U last, EU 43 in K last (but I think I can go with EU42.5) , all in F width.

8.5E for EG.

Generally we would try to keep shell cordovan away from rain / wet conditions.
There isn't any winter in my country but I wouldn't wear them for winter / rainy seasons.

Chamois, kudu, CXL are good. Not sure if Vass stocks those. Maybe a dedicated bad weather boot, like LL Bean. Not from a dress shoe company.

I also think that generally, for wet weather, or rough weather conditions...

I would make up a boot / derby shoe, in scotch grain, with commando or dainite soles, goyser stitch / norwegian / storm welt.

Get a really chunky pair of ass kickers.

I don't know about kudu, but CXL would be great I agree.

@ThunderMarch I think we are both from Southeast Asia. I wear my shell even when it's raining. A good wet brushing at the end of the day in case it does get rained on. Our advantage is we don't get salt on our streets which is really what ruins leather.
