The Ultimate Vass (Footwear) Thread (Pictures, reviews, sizing, etc...) - Page 1095

Just pulled the plug on a pair of dark brown museum calf OE2's with a medallion on the toe cap. Double to single leather sole. Metal toe caps. Sized 43 on the elegant F last. Can't wait for these bad boys to arrive, will defo post pictures when they arrive, which they should be in another 5 weeks. The wait is killing me! Ha!

Congrats on pulling the trigger on those. Show us some pictures when you get them.

hello all,

finally got my first pair of Vass:

- model 5128
- U last
- oxblood leather
- contrasting sole

I think the shoes look great and the quality seems on par with what I expected, except for one thing. The inside quarter/counter on the right shoe seems to use a lower quality (belly?) leather which creates an unsightly crease. I know it isn't the end of the world but is this something that you would flag as a quality control issue? Any idea whether it would be possible to replace this section?

@M1TSGUR1 I'll leave the QC question to those with more footwear expertise, but I think those look wonderful!

A couple of questions...

Has anyone ordered a Norweger boot on the F last?

I'm interested in hearing some opinions on a chukka-height austerity wingtip boot?

Liking those spectators. That's one color combo I've always liked but yet to get.

^^^ Amen.

I wonder what your guys take on the Vass 5150 might be, first pic? I wonder if Vass could do the same model but with broguing as in the second photoshopped pic? The third pic is an EG Wells that I ordered once but in a half size to small. The idea of having something very similar from Vass is appealing.

You'd be crazy to order 5150. n/m...joke, all look great. I've asked about the 5100 (second pic without heel counter) and Vass said at the time they were sold out and should make more. Seems like a classic derby to stock. Simple change if you want more brouging like the EG.
