Here is my foot in a 44.5 U last

It looks fine to me how, dose it fit you? Jazzmenco

These boots are 44.5 U but they fit much snugger than my 44.5 shoes. They are tighter in the toes and instep. I bought these from a previous owner. Since Vass does not mark the width, I believe maybe these are a narrower than normal width, E instead of F ????

The shoes feel good, no room to spare though

Based on your other brand sizes, 43.5 F would have seemed correct, but going up to a 44.5 U, maybe 44 F would be better. I'm kind of in between on F as well...depending on the style, I'll take my U size in it.

You mean you take the same size in U and F?  I tell you Vass sizing is a crapshoot.:puzzled:

For you K last will be same as U last accept very less space in toe box area so if you do go towards K last I would definitely size up by half. Or stay away from it which ever you prefer. By the way totally digging those boots bud.

Hell I take same size all three last F, U & K 42.5

Just to confuse things, I'm a 43 in F and 43.5 in U and both fit great. I tried a 43 in U and it was way too tight in overall volume, but a 43 in F is very comfortable. 43 in P2 is just a touch big in volume once it stretches with wear, but Mr. Kuti was kind enough to send me several additional 43 P2 sock liners which when added cut down the volume just enough to make it great for me. I have a slightly wide foot (AE 10E) so lasts like the K are probably not for me.

I've experimented around. Some do take the same size (Roger). I have two calf 43 F shoes that are a bit snug. 43.5 U fits great. I went up to 43.5 F on a suede shoe and there was too much give to the material (went back to 43 and it works). 43.5 F on a calf oxford boot fits well with a medium sock. For the usual roomy shell fit, 43 F would probably be perfect.

Yes since 43.5 is snug for me then 44.5 U makes sense.  I still haven't figured out why the boots are so much tighter. narrower width maybe????

Are sock liners like inserts?  Yes Vass sizing is challenging but their shoes are excellent:slayer:

Well originally I tried 42.5 on F last boot very good fit, tried 43 on K last little big half size down is perfect just based upon that I would say 42.5 will work on F K & U. And if you are saying P2 last is touch lose for you. May be I can go down to size 42 on P2 last then.

I have four P2 shoes, and he was kind enough to send me this:

They cut the volume just enough to get a better fit on a 43 P2.

Jazzmenco I've been following your shoe adventures closely biggrin.gif My professional diagnosis is Wide foot guy with narrow shoe mania. You need a P2 intervention stat. Take two Budapesters and call me in the morning.

Maybe my 3rd pair of Vass should be opera pumps!

I'm with you.

I totally disagree that the pair of oxford ankle boots are feminine , to any extent at all.
