EG,G&G are half size up from English size. JL, C&J, Trickers are standard. Vass is standard EU.
Also all the English shoe maker sites suggest 9.5US = 9Uk & 43 EU this is AS, EG & G&G only carmina site suggest 9.5US = 8.5UK & 42.5 EU
I know for fact if I would of sized down one full length it would be very tight & uncomfortable fit for English shoe makers. But sizing down one full size works for carmina. And hoping size 43 would work out for vass.

Stick with Wikipedia size conversion.  The best out there.

EG, G&G, and AS sizing is iffy and 0.5 up from UK.

I have 42.5 u last oxfords and 8 uk carmina rain. The U are tight in the toe box but close up fully when laced. The Carmina are a lot smaller, to the point they're probably getting moved on due to the discomfort of trying to break them in.
For additional reference, I wear uk 8.5 in AS 109 last and 42.5 in Meermin Olfe. My Vass lasts are; U, F, P2, 3636, all 42.5 and R in 42 which is cripplingly small on first wear

Thank you see that confirms or hopefully confirms my sizing. I take 9Uk on AS DB 87, 106 last & went with 43 for K last.

Anyone had experience with a Vass Chukka in shell on the P2? I like the look of the Alden cordovan chukka but here in Europe it's cheaper and easier for me to go with Vass. I think their burgundy shell is closest to #8 from Alden so if they can do this (hopefully on dainite) I might pull the trigger.

I don't own a pair, but have seen a P2 shell chukka in person and thought it was absolutely fantastic. I think that last is tremedously well suited to a chukka, frankly. And they will a blow an Alden equivalent quite comprehensively away. And I say that as I wear a fave pair of Alden shell derbies.
