Didn't you kop a pair from Ascot, @mimo?
In the end, no. But I'm thinking a boot version. Because...boot.

Just out of curiosity what kind of linings does Vass offer? Specifically in terms of warm linings.

Here's my current shoe lineup. I'm not the type who own lots of shoes and I don't think I ever will. I get maybe 1 pair per year and aim for max versatility. I'm more on the casual side and am actually moving toward a SW&D/MC Casual aesthetic since I wear jeans everyday for a new job I started last year.

-Meermin double monk - brown - these are my "lowest" quality and my plan was to get the Vass monks to phase these Meermins out. Now on second thought I feel that the shoes are just fine and there's no need to add another monk when my shoe collection is small and will stay small.

-C&J Lindrick

-Carmina black jumper boot

-Vass OE plain black U last for formal occasions - I wear a suit maybe 2 times in a year, perhaps more if I'm job hunting, which I don't see happening for several years.

-Vass budapester U last antique cognac shell

Okay, you're on a fashion forum posting a list of shoes by manufacturers that most people have never heard of. So let's just put aside this " I'm not the type who own lots of shoes and I don't think I ever will." business and be real. :-)

If you wear suits only two times per year and already have a pair of Vass that will serve, why bother pursuing a pair of dress shoes at all? An Oxblood austrity brogue will be KILLER - but how much wear will you get out of it? Very little, from what you have described. Consider a pair of nice Chukkas instead - far more versatile to dress down and up anywhere along the wardrobe spectrum short of suits.

Hahah I meant linings for winter. Like fur, shearling, wool, etc.

Have to agree with roger makes more sense and if you want add one more shoes and you will be good to go for every situation.

Apparently my shoes were not shipped today due to a clearance delay. Anyone had this happen before?

Edit: Check with fedex, apparently its nothing. Just means its going through customs.

tanks guys!

vass started using a slimmer shaft for their boots and im thoroughly pleased with the design. my previous p2 last and r last boots had a leg opening that was so generous i was able to fit 2 fingers along the ankle and still lace close the lacing. now they fit much better around the ankle without sacrificing any of the comfort
