LOL @ "snouty"

Those are super incredible.

Is "antique cognac" closer to cigar or revello?

Very nice. The U last is snoutier in that picture than I've ever seen it. Do you take a narrow width, or do other photos just not highlight the taper/chisel of the U last?

You can also just email Rezso to confirm that they will be open when you will be there.

He did mention to me that Mr. Vass is usually in the shop on Mondays and Tuesdays, so Monday morning would be a very good time to go, methinks.

Vass used to call all brown shell "antic Cognac". The shade could be all over the place.

Somewhere in between. But that's a wide spectrum. These were initially lighter but have darkened up (after 15 wears). Look like cigar to me

I think the larger sizes have that more pronounced look. This is a 45.5f

Gentlemen,

I hope you don't mind me posting a question here; but has Vass recouped their shell cordovan supplies?

Antique Cognac and Whiskey shades in particular?

I did not want to bother the vendors with this question.

Thanks.

Why not? Surely they're best placed to answer you

Then, that is the direction I shall go.

Thanks.

This question has probably been asked 500x at this point, but how does P2 compare to F last? Particularly interested in ball/toebox width and instep (need wide for the former, low for the latter).

Then you have it.  The P2 has a much wider ball area, and a lower instep than the F.  It is also more curved than the two Italians.  It is a completely different last.

Did we meet at the shop? I have been there on Saturday at around 11 am and was talking to a customer, who had just ordered a pair of Austerity Brogues.

As did I. Dark gold museum calf, 4-Eye Oxford, F-Last. It's going to be epic :)
