Size 40.5. Vass makes shoes look great at any size IMO.

I only tried them on briefly last night and haven't worn them. I will on Friday this week and will let you know, though the only calf pair I own is a balmoral and this shell pair is a derby.

Size 45.5. They don't look too point to you? Disproportionally long to you?

^me personally yes a touch. YMMV

Perhaps a little long and pointy in your size. I think because the last is elongated to begin with, smaller sized feet look more balanced with U last. I know that's completely the opposite of what I just said a couple of posts ago but we are all a little anal when it comes to details. If I saw you walking down the street in U last 45.5's I'd want to admire and congratulate.

From that angle they're a little clownish but you're pretty tall right? So you can likely carry it off. Great shoes btw

Anyone went their bespoke route?

Just got the price info, it says bespoke are 700 EUR including the VAT & lasted trees .. Sounds like hell of a deal for that price, especially since I can get around 15% off VAT, meaning a bespoke pair for a 595eur !? :slayer:

Makes me think the extra 200+eur are easily forgotten when they are molded for you feet..

Is that for last adjustments a la StC or for a custom last?  If the latter then that's ridiculous!

That's a quote from their price list .. It mentions the making of the last ..

Damn.

But you may be right it's the adjustment of the last, I am not certain, that's why I asked if someone went with those .. Perhaps it's just their fancy expression when in reality all they do is adjust the certain last to your feet ..
