Budapest is in my neighborhood. Trip cost is almost free. Plus, I am not a EU citizen, so I could get the Hungarian VAT refund too. My questions basically are:

1.) Is it worth making transition from Crockett Jones bench grade line like Connaught Oxford to the Vass F last? Are they on the par, as they do cost about the same.

2.) Can I ask both for the 10% cash discount and VAT deduction?

3.) Is the Vass F last most roundest and most similar to the Edward Green 202 last?

4.) Can someone identify the Oxford shoe on F last on far right in my photo?

Thaaaaaanks!

1. Yes

2. Probably

3. Yes

4. Old English II

5. Good luck Nikola

6. Take lots of cash...you might want to go crazy

7. Post pics

@Shouldaville Thank You very much.

I like the idea of the lasted trees and a reasonably priced styles combined with the Ilcea leathers.

Everything just sounds pretty balanced and well packed + with the cash discount and Vat deduction it should be a no-brainer. I will visit their shop just for the sake of visiting and will purchase a pair or two to see how they perform over the time .. And will post some photos of the shop and purchase.

@Nikola

Go for it! I have the same problem you have (with the EGs). Vass shoes cups your heels really nicely and so they were a much better fit for me (F last).

Nothing much wrong with the pics - just tighten up the laces next time - looks cleaner. The shoes are gorgeous. Do you have other pairs of Vass that you could compare fit?

Those are great @Ruhl! The toecap looks pretty long; might be a concern for people with a dislike for creasing forward of the seam

Great shots @Ruhl !

Any chance of a direct top down shot (ie the wearer's perspective?)

S last does seem like a longer style shoe, whereas the English squared toe style seems much shorter and 'compact' (ala G&G, AS).

Not to happy with the fit, as it feels a tad roomy and is thus up for sale at B&S. Terrorsquad's pair is 0,5 size smaller. Hopefully it won't be to small.

This is worth pinning. A very nice addition to their site. Now if they had direct side-by-side comparisons of same-sized lasts, maybe over graph paper...

Ascot shoes has a few pics on their facebook giving an idea of how a last might look, not always side to side but valuable nonetheless. S last on the left, K on the right.

And the supposedly elongated S last against another crowd favorite from G&G.
