The Ultimate Vass (Footwear) Thread (Pictures, reviews, sizing, etc...) - Page 954

Hey, sorry I have bought from Vass before. Was just purely looking for a visual inspiration if someone has a pair. Thanks for the link though as I quite like the pair there.

Correct! I am lazy, so I won't search the thread for my original post. Instead, here are all the shots for you guys again (click spoiler below).

Which color Saphir (Collonil should also be fine) you'd recommend for Vass oxblood shoes? I have Saphir bordeaux, but Vass oxblood seems to be a bit richer than that, and I'd like to preserve the depth. I'd rather use cream, not wax polish.

hoodog, thanks for the comparison pics. can you identify the lasts? also, can 'heel heights' be altered?

The short answer is "no." Each last is set at a specified heel height. You cannot change heel heights without dramatically altering the mechanical balance of the shoe.

You can of course brute force it and add/subtract height. But it will not be comfortable.

What's the current pricing for Vass in Budapest? My mom is going there this week, and I was wondering if I should pick up a pair. Do they take out the VAT for tourists?
