The Ultimate Vass (Footwear) Thread (Pictures, reviews, sizing, etc...) - Page 941

If they sent the wrong size, you certainly can return them. But figure out if they actually fit you first.

Typically, if they screw up the order they'll take it back.

If you wish you'd ordered smaller, they might still-- especially if it's not size 56 with rhinestones.

Shoes arrived today and are fundamentally beautiful. Some details are not as nice as my G&Gs but much better than C&J HG for far less money. Really just beautiful shoes.

On the flip side, they did take like four months to arrive (I ordere in October) and are the wrong size (i ordered 42.5 and these are 43). I really don't care about the wait but am trying to sort out what to do about the size. Trying them on they feel fine but it's hard to really tell until walking on them...and returning from here isn't all that easy (and they're MTO so I dint even know if they can be returned). Anyways, I wrote to Mr Kuti so I'll wait to hear what he has to say.
Not doubting you, but where are you seeing the size to confirm it is a 43 vs. 42.5? I ask because if its what the shoe trees have marked on them, I believe they only have whole sizes. I dont think my shoes have any marking of size on them except on the trees.

Should have a size embossed on the sole.  Number and a dash for half sizes

I had ordered a double monk and put it in closet, never wear it. after about a year I take it out and I find the bucks rust seriously. I am very disappointed about this.

that's a lot of moisture for a closet

I wish they could use better hardware, I have many shoes, bags in the closet and this never happened in their bucks or eyes

Wtf, i thought the buckles were either brass or stainless steel.

I'd understand if the shine is lost but rusting on buckles is totally unacceptable. It doesn't even happen on Kenneth Coles provided they last that long.

True for RTW.   Not so for some individual MTOs.  I have half a dozen MTO's with no size markings on the soles.   Shoes trees, however are always marked.

it is rusting, badly. I'd take some pictures when I am back to home.

By rust, do you mean brass "green" tarnish?   That's pretty common with the brass buckles or eyelets that are not protected by varnish or paint.

no, they are dark spots. it is very like iron rusts, you know what happens when iron rusts, it will swell up.

Exactly there's a 43 on the sole (and on the trees but I know those can be different than the shoes)

Right - first pair of Vass so I'm not positive from the get-go, and I really don't have a perfect size reference; C&J 337 8UK is slightly tight (but wearable), 358 8.5UK slightly loose but wearable, MH71 9UK the same....so pretty much 8.25UK for C&J and 8.75UK for G&G is where I land.  In that context U-last 43 could work but I don't want to bend and crease before hearing from Reszo.

These are MTO (plain OEII in Oxblood on the U) but marked on the sole as Greg suggested nonetheless.
