Either way, 590, as its listed, including VAT is certainly a better price than I was assuming!

Yes, if I remember correctly the Vass price list includes VAT.

My last direct purchase was 490 Euros including shipping to the UK, trees and VAT

I am clearly an idiot as I have spent time on the Vass website and have no idea how one would order a pair of shoes. Is it strictly through email?

That's the route I used but I thought there was an online ordering system in place now; I believe you can also pay by CC now too

With all the talk about ordering direct, I wanted to double check: Does Vass still have a policy of not shipping direct to new US based customers?

Afaik, they don't deal direct with new clients as they have retailers in the US

Thanks.  That's what I figured, but wanted to double check because the listed prices are pretty amazing.

Assuming they would deal directly with US based folks in subsequent orders thereafter?

Vass now sells only to the existing US customers they had before the change in direct sales which happened sometime last year.

Well without saying they've lost a potential customer for certain, pending getting in touch with Vass, it would certainly seem that they've lost a potential customer.

They'll deal direct if you ordered before the retailers started stocking them. If you have no previous direct dealing then you're s.o.o.l and have to go thru a US stockist. If I lived there I'd likely use NMWA for customer service alone.
Remember as GDL said, you're likely to incur duties importing them yourself. NMWA take care of that for you

the boots that inspired your design have inspired me the original boot owner to be inspired by your inspiration in addition, as well.
