Love your tweed(?) pants. How wide are your cuffs. I've been getting 1.75" but still doesn't look wide enough.

Lol, forgot I said u-wing. I'm thinking brogued u-wing derby boot in cigar or antique cognac shell with 360 goyser, f or p2 last, and maybe heel counter detail like exdeath's or the brogued valway u-wing.

Cuffs are 1.75". Works for me since I have small feet and short legs. Fear going higher would make my proportions look off.

Can you please reveal the other pant brands as well? Those trouser boot combos look really really good!

Is the GAP on the facings supposed to be like this?

Brand-new shell-- give it a little time to stretch and shrink before declaring defeat.

Yup, I just wore them for the first time today. It seems like they'll stretch and mold to cover the gap a bit better over time. The F-last does have a bit of a low instep, though - Rezso did recommend either trying the Peter or U-last next time though. The K last seems pretty killer too.

Only issue I've noticed so far was that there was a slight (3-4mm) hairline cut in the shell on one of the inner vamps. I'm putting that down to the whole capriciousness of the 'handmade' process, or perhaps the lack of padding while shipping. It's not that major, though - I've fixed it up with a little shoe epoxy and hopefully it holds.

Are you worried about length or width? Because the "G" width on the F last is noticeably if modestly different from the regular fitting. Its arch is a bit back from where P2's is, though-- which I prefer but obviously not everyone will. I take a P2 regular 45 regular in P2 and 45G (wide) in F. Even though it is a tad lower on the instep to the point of looking a bit like a pie server, I like very much the additional support underneath the foot I get from the wide "F" vs the regular P2.

I did once try a U, and while it felt wonderfully comfortable through the instep, I had the strange sensation of wearing clown shoes, they were so long in the toe. I don't remember what size that was.

I worry about length. The width is prettty roomy with the goyser. If was commonplace for people to size down half a size from their regular length and be fine with it then I'd feel more confident. For me, I usually wear anything from 6.5-7 US. 6.5 is the lowest I can go and my foot is probably just the slightest bit bigger than 6.5.

I just wanted to share two issues about Vass fitting having handeled 3636, P2 and F lasts. First is that those lasts have a roomie heel area, specially 3636 last IMO. Second is that the girth/volume mesurements (Ball / L. Instep/ H. Instep) quite differs whether the shoe has been finished in Shell or Calf leather (I belive was @Namor who experienced the same). I have receive two F last Oxfords, 42,5 in narrow width and this is the result:

Note 1.The measurements showed have been taken from one side of the shoe outsole stiching to the other side (obviously not taken the outsole) as a reference for Vass.

Note 2.-I wonder if the girth/volume of shell with Goyser goes even further ( I have just one so I can not compare).

One Oxford is an Old English II and the other is a Budapest Wingtip so I do not know wether or not  that makes some girth/volume difference too?.

I have three calf shoes in the same pattern and allegedly the same size on the same last, made at the same time.  They are all different sizes.  Welcome to hand made by mail order!

Being in Madrid myy trip to Budapest is not a matter of money or time (120 € return ticket to Madrid)...the problem is....my WIFE!!.  So I better keep using the web and try to hide my shoes, lol.

The issue is the old english ii

Note the picture below - they're all in U last and in the same size

Old english II (shell) & Austerity (calf)

Austerity (calf) & wingtip adelaide (shell)

From my experience I don't feel any size difference between calf & shell.

At one point I had ordered 2 old english ii at the same time (one you see above and the other one in museum calf) and both felt bigger vs the other styles (calf or shell) around the instep area - not really sure why. But I gave up on the Old English II
